Trip to Bristol

This weekend I took a trip to Bristol to attend an Oracle Girl event called Reawaken Bristol.

It was quite a challenging expedition.

It started in Bruges. I signed up for a workshop embroidery on clothes at a maker's event 'Handmade in Bruges'

I brought my needles, yarn, and embroidery ring in my backpack.

I would take the Flixbus to London at 23:30.

So I had to stay in Bruges all day.
I discovered a small non-commercial cinema 'Lumière' where I spent my time in the afternoon and evening.

The flixbus drove us to the Eurotunnel in Calais where we had to get out several times for passport control.

Arriving two hours too early at Victoria coach station in London I had to wait for 5,5 hours before going to Bristol.

Luckily Starbucks was open all night and at 6 I could charge my phone in The black sheep across the street.
I walked through Buckingham Palace street by night.

Christmas has already begun in London.

Lots of lights in the street and decorating the shops and businesses.

No saving on electricity here.

At 9 in the morning, we started a 3-hour bus ride to Clifton Bristol, a busy city with beautiful old buildings.

I booked a single room in a small hotel called The Washington so I hit the road.
Google navigation was very useful during this weekend.
Over 10.000 steps a day on my app. Yay.
Room on the second floor, more steps to take...

Then go find Mshed museum the place to be on Sunday.

Mshed is situated in the harbor.  Blue sky, blue water, and the most beautiful weather at this time of the year.

I ate a late dinner in an Indian restaurant Tikka Flame. Chicken tikka masala with garlic naan bread, very spicy and very tasty.

Sunday morning at breakfast a young man twisted his toast in the grill and got the fire alarm to go off for minutes.

That's how I met 'Nicoline'. She came from Holland and attended the same event the day before.

We went for a walk and exchanged addresses

Finally on Sunday, the Oracle girl event.
On the second floor, again...

Beautiful people from all over Europe and even some from America and Australia.

Jacqueline is an amazing speaker.
When she speaks everybody is silent from the very beginning.

The energy in the room was indescribable.
Sometimes all of us,250 people, were silent during short purifications.
There was a connectedness I can't describe. You have to feel it yourself.

Despite all the travel issues I was so happy to be there.

Now I am back in Belgium and I felt
I had to write a small piece
to share this energy with each of you.

Sending you love.
